David Sederholt is the Chief Operating Officer of Strategic Funding, one of the largest and most respected non-bank alternative lenders for small businesses. Since it’s inception in 2006, Strategic Funding has financed over 17,000 small businesses providing over $1.25 Billion throughout the United States and Australia. The company is quite different than others in the industry because many of the members of senior management have owned and operated their own small businesses. David is a veteran owner and operator of more than 12 restaurants including tablecloth, casual and QSR. He was co-founder and President of Rattlesnake Southwestern Grills which operated restaurants throughout Connecticut, New York and New Jersey. David took that company public on the NASDAQ stock exchange in 1995. Later in his career he was engaged to become COO of Magic Restaurants, a large Red Robin Gourmet Burger franchisee, to restructure the company out of bankruptcy.
David continued to serve the restaurant and hospitality industry with his multifaceted consulting firm that provided management, operations and financial advisory services to independent restaurants and multi-unit chains. In addition, he founded and developed Tricom Commercial Real Estate which provided site selection, tenant, landlord and developer representation in the hospitality, restaurant and retail markets.
He is a writer and regular contributor to Forbes, Inc., Entrepreneur, Bloomberg and has a monthly column on finance in Total Food Service.
